Erik Elshire

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest playing football and living a fortunate life. I retired at the age of 22 and pretended to work for three years, but principles and duty brought me to a Masters program for teaching. After one year at a public school in Orange, California I realized I was teaching the very thing I wanted to do, said goodbye, moved to New Orleans, and began my life as a writer. I have four wonderful sisters, a flock of incredible friends, and a court of parents/adults that keep me from losing myself. I look forward to the day when my words will help people.
