Erik Stromquist brings an entrepreneurial spirit to CTL. For example, he co-founded and launched two CTL business units, Retronics and Glow Networks. While Retronics safely recycles personal computers and other electronics products, Glow Networks is a developer of software and solutions for the growing digital signage market. He spearheaded the research and development of CTL’s 2go line of products, including the 2GoPC, a laptop specially designed for kids that earned Erik Stromquist and CTL international recognition.
In addition to being a business executive, Erik Stromquist is an enthusiastic volunteer and leader in his community. CTL is in Portland, Oregon, and Stromquist is a board member of the Western Oregon State Foundation and the Washington Material Management and Financing Authority. Other local groups in which he participates include the Portland Oregon Society of CPAs and the Northwest Portland Industrial Council Software Association of Oregon. Stromquist’s performance as both an executive and a community leader was recognized by the Portland Business Journal. In 2009 the magazine named him one of the “40 Under 40,” its list of 40 executives under the age of 40 who show impressive potential in the business world.
