I have twenty years of professional library experience including academic and public libraries in Tennessee, California, and Iowa. As a branch manager of a regional library in Los Angeles, I helped the library transition through major change including massive layoffs and restructuring. I was asked to head a team to develop one of three strategic directions of the library. I was also part of a website redesign team.
As a director in a small suburban library in Iowa, I oversaw improving statistics in library visits, circulation, and program attendance. I improved workflow, introduced new services, and planned for an upcoming expansion in the building. My proudest accomplishment there was securing funding for a 25% increase in staffing and construction of a 2,000 square foot addition.
Currently, I manage the Maricopa Public Library in beautiful Arizona.
I am looking for a partnership with a library where I can implement innovative change and lead in providing top-notch service.
My hobbies inlcude rugby, skiing, movies, reading, and urban planning. I am an iconoclast, an intovert, a native Californian, and a Browncoat.
