Oh hey there. I'm Erika, and that's my husband, John. I'm a fourth-year medical student, and I'll be applying into Emergency Medicine this fall. Wish me luck!

In my former life, I worked in video production, mainly in producing and editing. I also did lots of acting, singing, and improv - unfortunately don't do as much of that nowadays as I'd like.

When I'm not hitting the books or enjoying the outdoors, I'm directing the University of Michigan Medical School Communication Collaborative. Everyone has sat through a painful presentation, be it boring, aimless, or aesthetically displeasing. Our team of coaches help peers develop their public speaking skills through compelling presentations, including Medical Student Grand Rounds and Research Rounds. We believe in the power and practice of near-peer feedback as part of our academic careers. Go Blue!
