Erika Bergman

As a lifelong storyteller turned manned submersible pilot Erika Bergman is a passionate ocean explorer. She is an avid adventurer and has been to the absolute bottom and top of Washington State by diving submarines and climbing to the summit of Mt. Rainier. In May of 2013 she was named a National Geographic Young Explorer and is thrilled to share a series of manned submersible dives with young adults through real time streams using modern social networks as well as ongoing mentorship. Manned submersibles are a unique and inspiring tool to translate abstract ocean concepts into something tangible for a global audience. Erika hopes to inspire enthusiasm for ocean awareness using these exciting inner space vehicles.
