Erika Levesque

Hello everyone,

My name is Erika Levesque and I currently reside in Ottawa where I'm employed as an occasional teacher. In 2014, I completed a bachelor of arts with a major in Didactique langue seconde (Second Language Teaching) and a minor in English at the university of Ottawa. The following year I went on to earn a bachelor of education at the Junior and Intermediate levels, with English as my teachable. I've since had the pleasure of teaching kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 2 French Immersion in Montreal and English as a second language to high school students in Thailand.

My passion for teaching began when I was a teenager. After avidly attending karate and wrestling classes for a number of years I began teaching children's karate classes at the age of 14 and coaching a children's wrestling team at the age of 16. It was very fulfilling for me, learning that I could empower my students by teaching them how to persevere in physically and mentally demanding situations. I was hooked and I've continued to coach wrestling ever since in both club and school leagues. I have NCCP and CBET certifications.
