Erika Velarde

Hello,

My name is Erika Velarde , my major is Public Administration and I will be graduating this December. I work full time as the administrative assistant of the Honors Program- Office of Academic Enhancement at the University of Miami. I expect to learn about statistics and be able to understand them in order to utilize the information to make proper decisions. I am currently in search for a Masters' program in Higher Education, which will allow me to integrate community services and resources into higher learning institutions like colleges and universities, to better assist students. I would like to bridge the gap that exists by leveling the playing field for students with special needs so that they can live up to their potentials and contribute to society.

I was raised in the city of Chicago and currently live in Miami. I enjoy spinning, yoga and swimming. I also loves going to the beach, traveling, being outdoors, and
