Erik Grossberg
In 2012, New York City entrepreneur Erik W. Grossberg collaborated with business partners Derek van Bakergem and Wyatt Carder to establish Pampelonne, a brand offering sparkling wine cocktail beverages. The partners dedicated a full year to the selection of wines from France’s leading vintages, combining them to create unique new flavors. In early 2013, Pampelonne introduced its first cocktail flavor, Rosé Lime, to markets in the United States. It is now available for purchase in California, Florida, Nevada, and New York.
Sold in vibrant 8.4-ounce cans featuring a red and white Breton stripe pattern, Pampelonne’s packaging calls to mind the striped umbrellas seen along the beaches of the French Riviera. Rosé Lime combines natural grapefruit, passion fruit, and lime extracts with Loire Valley Muscadet and sparkling water to create a light and summery flavor. Erik Grossberg and his colleagues recently developed Pampelonne’s second flavor, Red Sangria, and released it in fall 2014. Their leadership has garnered widespread recognition for the brand, which has appeared in Hamptons Magazine, Beverage Media Group, Martha Stewart Weddings, and InStyle Magazine, as well as on NBC’s Today Show.
A graduate of Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Mr. Grossberg holds a bachelor’s degree in real estate and finance. A supporter of Save Venice, Inc. and the White Nights Gala, he donates much of his free time to the appreciation and preservation of the arts.
