Erik Hartman

Erik M. Hartman has a Master's Degree in Communications and Information Management. He is a consultant, trainer and analyst at TIMAF (www.timaf.org), the information management foundation. TIMAF is an independent international knowledge platform on enterprise information management (EIM).

While studying Communication and Information Management at the Utrecht
University, Erik worked at IBM. There he discovered the huge gap between business and IT.
Ever since he has been actively aligning bussiness and IT professionals and departments with the use of communication and information management.

As an independent consultant in the field of enterprise information management (EIM) and business process management (BPM), Erik is involved in several EIM and BPM projects for the top 500 organizations and governmental entities in the Benelux.

Erik is currently developing a 'blended'​ online and in-company training program on enterprise information management (EIM) and business process management (BPM) for TIMAF.

Erik blogs weekly about information management and process management at www.allesoverinformatiemanagement.nl. He is author of the Information Management Handbook and a buyer's guide of Information Management Tools.

Erik is a regular speaker at events all over the world about subjects like enterprise information management (EIM), business process management (BPM), information strategy, information architecture, information governance, and information management systems.
