Erik Nelson

My name is Erik Nelson. I am a Principal Broker and co-owner of Silver Ridge Realty in Oregon. I have been active in the real estate industry since 2004 and I specialize in residential and commercial property investments. I am an active consultant for clients seeking short and long term strategies for wealth management, investment and retirement planning, ranging from property flips to dividend investments in the form of self-directed IRAs. Our corporate aim is understanding, realizing and surpassing each client's needs and goals and establishing a long-term relationship with each client.

My educational background includes studies at Oregon State University and The University of Oregon with an emphasis in Business Administration and Music Performance and Composition. My real estate educational studies and ongoing continuing education includes studies at ProSchools, Key Realty School, McKissock School, The Oregon Association of Realtors and Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. I am currently a member of the Greater Las Vegas Realtor Assocation, Nevada Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.

Aside from real estate, I have many other hobbies; some professional, some just for fun!

I actively perform and teach jazz piano and trumpet. I have also been involved in the orchestra at First Assembly of God in Albany,OR playing trumpet and arranging music. I've formerly played in bands at Oregon State University, including: Jazz Ensembles, Marching Band and Wind Ensembles just to name a few and vocal ensembles at the University of Oregon. I also served as director of jazz ensembles at OSU during the 2004-2005 school year. During my tenure as Director of Jazz Ensembles, the bands performed a number of my own arrangements and compositions. I've also performed with numerous other bands throughout western Oregon during the past decade.

One of my favorite musical memories was having the opportunity to sing side by side with Wilson Pickett at the Blues by the Bay Festival in Eureka, California.

I also enjoy remodeling houses in my spare time. It's one of those things that most people would probably find crazy, but I receive a great deal of satisfaction from doing this kind of work for fun (and profit too) most of the time.
