  • Erik Norlander is a rock keyboardist, producer, composer and engineer from California. He has written and produced over 30 albums since 1993 with his chanteuse spouse Lana Lane, his band Rocket Scientists, his own solo albums and numerous guest appearances. Erik's evocative keyboard technique is reminiscent of the 70s prog rock movement while still very unique and forward-moving in its own right. Erik has personally led product and sound design efforts on several major brand synthesizers and most notably was a co-designer of the iconic Alesis Andromeda polyphonic analog synthesizer. Erik's perpetual live use of vintage and classic instruments give his concerts a depth and authenticity of sound seldom seen in modern stage productions. Erik Norlander was born in Hollywood, California, and studied both jazz and classical music through his years at university where he also graduated with a degree in English Literature. Erik's has 10 solo releases to date including pair of DVD/2CD sets, The Galactic Collective - Definitive Edition and The Galactic Collective - Live in Gettysburg,studio and live interpretations of the same epic body of work. In 2014, Erik released two albums with his band, Rocket Scientists: Supernatural Highways and Refuel. Erik also toured extensively with the band ASIA Featuring John Payne from 2008-2013 and co-wrote the band's only original single. In 2009-2011, Erik also toured in Europe, South America and the USA with another supergroup, BIG NOIZE, featuring hard rock all stars, Joe Lynn Turner, Vinny Appice, Carlos Cavazo and Phil Soussan. Erik has been featured in KEYBOARD magazine 3 times, most recently in 2013. Erik also works with The Bob Moog Foundation to help forward the legacy of the genius, maverick inventor.
