Erin Collins

My name is Erin Collins and I am a student in the Isenberg School of Managment at UMass Amherst. I am an avid photographer and use my GoPro Hero3 camera to capture photos and record videos of my friends and family, New England scenery and my Cocker Spaniel named Callie.

Some adventures I have been on with my GoPro include: snorkeling off of a remote island in Puerto Rico, hiking up Mount Sugarloaf, capturing memories at my mom's wedding, swimming all over Cape Cod, and various social events at UMass Amherst

In the future, I aspire to earn my way to a managerial position at a small, privately owned resort/hotel/inn in New England. I would love to work full-time on Cape Cod, Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard but can also see myself in a more rural or mountainous setting such as Burlington, Vermont or Lake Placid, New York. Within the hospitality industry I strive to make guests happy through expectional service. I would love to be involved in event planning at one of these hotels or resorts.

I also aspire to be a loving mother and wife. I have dreamt of getting married and having children my entire life and would feel so blessed to bring children into this world and raise them with the love of my life. Cliche?...possibly, but definitely still an aspiration of mine.

I also aspire to focus my charitable efforts on Colon Cancer research. My father passed away from Colon Cancer when I was three years old. We miss him everyday. In order to prevent loss due to Colon Cancer in other families, I want to make a difference by spreading awareness and possible prevention through routine checkups such as colonoscopies. One charity my family and I have been involved with thus far is "Alive and Kickin'" which combines one survior's love for soccer with colon cancer research fundraisers. He calls them "Kickathons" and I would love to become more involved with his charity in the future.
