Erin Lennox
Erin Lennox knows about playing the field. Whether it is while coaching her favorite sport of soccer, or adjusting her career paths, the talented athlete never hesitates to discover her options. After all, the learned student has traveled to France and Sweden as two-year captain of her soccer club, West Rouge Storm. During her 15 years with the team, she even won the Ontario Cup, the biggest Championship tournament of its kind in Canada. Education-wise, Lennox was given a full-ride scholarship to Grand Canyon University, but after a week decided on Durham College for General Arts and Science - Pre Health, completed a year of Fitness and Health Promotion then, settled into the Public Relations program.
While pursuing her Public Relations career, Lennox honed useful skills such as event planning, fundraising, and business writing. She has the ability to follow style guidelines to concisely communicate key messages to suit the needs of an audience. As well, she has a demonstrated knack for press releases, fundraising letters, and web design. Her knowledge was applied during her internship with the Kinark Foundation, where she played an important role in the coordination of the 6th Annual Kinark Golf Classic, a fundraising event that aims to increase the understanding of children’s mental health.
Lennox is also familiar with the leadership role, one that she maintains as a soccer coach for children ages four to seven at Power Soccer in Toronto. This responsibility molds potential soccer stars that wish to travel abroad for tournaments like she did with her team.
Lennox’s previous experience with the Health and Fitness sector, combined with her interest in sports and writing will surely be valuable assets as she looks to join the Canadian Junior Golf Association. The corporate placement can build upon previously crafted skills, while enriching her communication and design skills. During her time at the Kinark Foundation, Lennox proved her commitment to success by devoting her time to children’s mental health. Success will surely come to Lennox, because she has the heart of a champion.
