Peck

Student in Marina, California

I graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay in May 2018 with a B. A. in Collaborative Health and Human Services with an interdisciplinary concentration in Community Health and Public Administration paired with a minor in Business Administration and Marketing. I am an enthusiastic advocate for change and work for positive systemic improvements that have lasting effects for those suffering the most. I have offered policy recommendations to the State of California and the Department of Pesticide Regulations concerning the use of certain chemicals near public schools that are now being implemented. I also suggested a notification system that was piloted in Pajaro Unified School District several years ago. I have recently worked with marginalized and homeless populations with the University's Department of Social Work to serve those in need as well as educate the Master of Social Work students. I have worked closely with the City of Salinas and their planning department to design a new city center full of culture and celebration.
