Hi, I’m Erin Phillips . I’m a third year student residing in Johannesburg West, South Africa . I have a passion food, and cooking and educating the next generation of future leaders and innovators.

My passion for food stems from my grandmother and aunts within my family that loved cooking and simply just feeding others. It has become a form of showing love to the next person by giving them a warm meal. I have taken courses on the side of studying education to gain a qualification as a professional chef as hopefully strengthen my skills in the kitchen creating a second passion or career to fall into.

Education has also been an integral part of my life as I always strived to be the academic child within my household since young, I have also been influenced by my mom and sister and other family members and family friends who are also in thee field of education and who all aim to build a better South Africa through education with me. I believe by educating students we empower them to create the change they hope to see, they can be the change in power the country needs if given the right tools and care.

My other hobbies include being outdoors and exploring new environments within our beautiful country. My aim within the outdoors world is to explore all I can in our beautiful country province by province before exploring the hidden outdoor gems in other countries.
