Erin has been teaching piano and violin for more than 8 years in Bay Area. She speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Many of her piano students passed Piano Guild Auditions each year. Most of her violin students passed ABRSM exam each year, and join community or their schools’ orchestras to fulfill activities. Some students have won gold in competitions, such as the US international Open Music Competition. Erin first learned to play piano at age of six, and then began to play violin at age of nine. She got the admission by the Middle School of Xinghai Conservatory of Music at the age of twelve and received her Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She worked as a violin player in Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra before moved to the U.S. After several years teaching in Ensembles- Melody Academy of music school, she accumulated great interest and experience in music education. Recently, she is pursuing her Master degree in music performance at San Jose State University. She explores the music education disciplines in SJSU as well. And she is also the concert master violinist from the SJSU Orchestra. She also served as a teaching assistant fellowship in CSUSJ music department. Erin always has a lot of passion in teaching music. She loves to teach and encourage her students to achieve their goals in music learning.
