Erin Russ

My name is Erin Russ. I am a first year Communication Sciences and Disorders major and hope to work in a hospital clinic with traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder patients. I am a military child and have moved around the country and seen most every major landmark on the East Coast. I was born in Washington DC and have lived in many different states including Virginia, New York, Alabama, Colorado, and now Georgia. I went to Lakeside High School where I was a member of the Show Choir, Swim Team, and Track and Field Team where I ran hurdles predominantly. My family currently resides in Augusta, GA where I have a job as a desk clerk at a tennis club as well as a swim coach for the club’s summer swim team and a lifeguard.

I am a member of the UGA Club Swimming Team as well as the Prelude Dance Company. I love to run, swim, sing, dance, and anything outdoors really. I also love to spend time with my older sister and best friend, Brianne, who is currently getting her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. I love my family very much and hold them all close to me, especially my young cousins who now live in South Africa. I have been playing guitar for over six years and have currently recorded two albums with the help of a professor of music from Augusta State University. I also have a huge interest in everything Irish and was fortunate to go to Ireland this past summer to perform and I cannot wait to go back.
