Erin Elizabeth Eichhorn

Erin Elizabeth Eichhorn is a Canadian performer now living in NYC! She is a graduate of The Canadian Theatre Arts, Fanshawe College. She grew up sitting on the knee of her director-grandfather reading Shakespeare aloud, and living with her opera/music theatre singer mother. Music and theatre was all around her from the beginning! She studied dance (ballet, tap, jazz & hip hop) throughout her early years and high school, and danced in Alberta Ballet's The Nutcracker for 3 seasons. She has studied under some of Canada's great dramatuges, directors and actors, and in NYC is now under the mentorship of the great Kimberly Vaughn. She actually studies voice with her mom now, Susan Eichhorn Young.

She has created roles like MAUREEN in RENT and GERMAINE in LES BELLES SOEURS (directed by her Canadian acting mentor, the late Gina Wilkinson).

She is comfortable with classical theatre and contemporary theatre, both straight theatre and music theatre. She is a belt/mix voice type, with a strong upper extension. She loves Judy Garland and Shirley Jones, Christina Aguilera, Pink and Celine Dion.

She plays piano and cello and is a die-hard Leonardo DiCaprio fan, and will forever love Titanic, the movie!

Erin has played the role of BELLA in the Schwartz/Strouse musical revival of RAGS in NYC and will be reviving her role in concert at the Metropolitan Room in August 2014.

She also had the honor of playing The Secretary in the AMERICAN PREMIERE of the UK/West End musical, LIFT with composer Craig Adams in attendance.

Erin continues to study all aspects of theatre as she continues to audition. Her goal, to be a working actor and to empower other women to do what they are meant to do! She is passionate about animals and human rights, and especially the rights and strengths of women in crisis.

She is a brown belt in karate and is a karaoke superstar!
