Erin Albanese

I am a mother, to a beautiful 10 year old daughter from my first marriage. I consider this my most important job in life. I married my second husband in February of 2007 and couldn't be happier. I have been a Head Start Teacher for 10 years. I have a love/hate relationship to this job. It has it has ups and its downs, but I honestly could not see myself in any other career other than Teaching. I received my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1997 and have basically been pushed by my employer into getting my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Actually, that is a misnomer, I have wanted this degree for many years but my procrastination and fear got in the way! I live in a small town outside of the metropolitan New Orleans area, known as Gretna, Louisiana. I teach in a 3 classroom Head Start center in Lafitte, Louisiana. I love the small cozy atmosphere, and the feeling that we are a family. The school considers me the "Techno Nerd". This title only means that I am the one and only staff member who is not afraid of the computer! When anyone has a problem they come running to me.
