Erin Lem

Erin Lem is an independent, San Francisco-based editor and writer. She is currently the Managing Editor of Red Tricycle, the fastest growing online parenting resource, which was voted "Best Parenting Web Resource of The Decade" by Seattle Magazine. Red Tricycle is all about helping busy parents find fun things to see, do, and eat with their kids in their city. Erin supervises a team of 50 freelance writers in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego, edits and publishes over 30 stories per week, manages partner content, and strategically analyzes website traffic growth and newsletter metrics.

In addition to her Managing Editor duties at Red Tricycle, Erin writes for NBC's Open House real estate blog, whose content focuses on celebrity and luxury real estate news and is distributed to all of NBC's eleven major markets.

Prior to Red Tricycle, Erin lived in the Big Apple where she was employed at Janklow & Nesbit Associates literary agency, earning her editing chops and working on behalf of some of her favorite authors that included Joan Didion, Horatio Clare, Malcolm Gladwell and Jhumpa Lahiri. When not reviewing and assisting in the negotiation of the agency's book and media contracts, Erin read and evaluated dozens of book proposals and manuscripts. After four years in New York, Erin decided it was time to trade in the bright lights of the city for the surf and sand of the West Coast.

When not immersed in a book, Erin can be found indulging her sweet tooth, rooting for the SF Giants or plotting her next travel adventure. While Erin misses the frenetic pace of New York (and her favorite Brooklyn pizza joint), she's thrilled to be back in her hometown of San Francisco where the fog is thick and the snow is scarce.

Erin holds a B.A. in English and Comparative Literary Studies from Occidental College.
