Erin has both corporate and agency experience across a variety of industries – consumer packaged goods, healthcare, nonprofit, energy, technology, hospitality, pharmaceutical – creating and executing impactful integrated communications programs.
Erin led Butterball Turkey's campaign, breaking through the 2016 presidential election cycle, Cubs World Series and 36 years of the same brand offering. The Talk-Line launched texting and earned a two-part, non-paid, 17 minute Late Show/Stephen Colbert segment. The campaign reached over 3 billion people in November via earned, influencer, social, website and video initiatives.
Erin also led a global initiative for pharmaceutical company Astellas seeking to break the Guinness World Record for most online organ donation registrations in a single day. The World Record was doubled and earned non-paid support/attention from actress Emma Roberts via Twitter.
Over the summer, Erin led a Rio 2016 partnership, creating awareness of the availability of insect repellent to journalists, athletes, spectators, staff and volunteers during the Zika-endemic; the team surpassed projected media impressions and in 24 hours, secured stories in Fortune, Wall Street Journal, New York Times and more, after securing an exclusive with Bloomberg and partnering with local athlete and mom-influencer Maurren Maggi.
Prior to Edelman, Erin served as an energy efficiency spokeswoman for Nicor Gas, an Illinois natural gas utility with over 2.2 million residential customers. In this role, she wrote speeches and bylined articles for the company’s executives, secured and participated in a variety of media segments, appearing on WGN and NBC Chicago, and led a customer testimonial initiative that received a Bronze Stevie Award for Women in Business. Prior to Nicor Gas, Erin held public relations and social media positions at the B2B agency The Mx Group. There, Erin launched and executed the agency’s award-winning social media offering.
Erin received her B.A. in Corporate Communications from Northern Illinois University.
