I am a Louisiana native who grew up in a bayou community of a bedroom town near New Orleans. I moved to the District of Columbia to attend college. After graduation, I worked an array of part-time and independent contractor jobs to make ends meet. Since then, I have spent the past 13 years working in either the federal or local government. Currently, my work is focused on operations - from automating invoice workflows to writing and executing contracts.
I am an active volunteer, focusing much of my current attention on supporting the many prongs of my alumni association through alumni programming, communication, and other engagement efforts. I am also active in the Washington metropolitan region's inter-alumni community through my non-profit work on the Board of Directors for the Alumni Events Alliance, which hosts University Row at the Virginia Gold Cup.
I am a Pisces who somewhat "recently" learned to swim. I enjoy a good, traditional Catholic Mass; basketball games where players still box-out for a rebound; playing country music on a jukebox; and people-watching. I am also excited about exploring my future career trajectory in the legal profession.
