Erin P. Hanlon

Research, Home Birth Midwife, and Writer in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

I am a global health systems leader, researcher, and educator with over 16 years of experience spanning clinical practice, academic instruction, and research governance. My career is rooted in a deep commitment to health equity and social determinants, starting with my foundational background in home-birth midwifery and facilitating adult education focused on childbirth and postnatal care.

My strategic work centers on translating complex data into transparent, compliant, and equitable health solutions. I hold an MPH and a PhD in Health Systems, focusing my research on health service evaluations, disability, and women’s health. Cultivating high-integrity research spaces is a core priority; I have sat on several research ethics committees and held research advisory roles.

Driven by a global perspective on public health, I am a certified member of a global surveillance for outbreak detection and I bring a holistic approach to leadership, backed by decades of practice as a certified Classical Hatha Yoga instructor (since 1996) and advanced Reiki practitioner.
