Ernest Evans

Ernest Cornell Evans is an up and coming speaker in the Black Greek community. He has presented at the 2012 Association of Fraternal and Leadership Values (AFLV) conference on topics relating to Black Greek Organization relevance. He is very passionate about the work that he does in and with the Black Greek community. He is also committed the racial uplift of the Black community. His commitment further extends into seeing more African American students attend and graduate from our colleges and university and he believes that this can be done through our Black Greek system as well as through some institutional modification at both the secondary and post-secondary levels.
Ernest graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) in the spring of 2012. He was heavily active on campus including becoming a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in the spring of 2009 where he served as the Director of Educational Affairs for the Sigma Phi Chapter for three years.
Ernest is a second year graduate student at Indiana University in Higher Education and Student Affairs Masters Program where he has served as the graduate assistant in Fraternity and Sorority Life. In this position Ernest served as the co-advisor of 19 undergraduate chapters comprised of 400+ undergraduate students. He also was the co-advisor for the IUPUI National Pan-Hellenic Council (IUPUI NPHC).
Ernest will receive his Masters of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) in May of 2014. He plans on going on to work at the university level in Greek and/or Multicultural Affairs.
