As Managing Partner of Freedom Capital Partners, Ernest Jacquet draws on more than 40 years of experience as an operator and financial investment professional. He began his career after serving 4 years as a U.S. Navy Diving Officer by relocating to the North Sea (United Kingdom sector) to develop offshore oil and gas for Occidental Petroleum. During the 1970's and early 80's, he managed a team of engineers developing safety and firefighting systems for the North Sea-eventually obtaining a patent on his mobile diving rescue units. Overtime, Mr. Jacquet became one of the youngest directors in Trafalgar House Investments PLC. Increasingly, his work required financial acumen, so he returned to the USA to get his MBA from Stanford University.

After graduation from Stanford University, Ernest Jacquet joined Morgan Stanley & Co.’s Merger and Acquisitions group in New York, where he analyzed potential acquisitions for client companies. He decided he wanted to do the same work for his own account, so he joined Boston's Bain Capital as a Principal. There, he identified, assessed, and structured investments in private equity.
He then joined Summit Partners where Mr. Jacquet founded the LBO Team and led a team of professionals to focus on Buyouts and Sub Debt investments instead of Venture Capital. Over a 10-year period, his buyout investments garnered an internal rate of return of more than 100 percent and 5 times invested capital. It was this Track Record that enabled Mr. Jacquet to strike out on his own and to raise his first fund -$350 million.

In 1998, Ernest Jacquet cofounded his own firm, Parthenon Capital and quickly raised $350 million. Over a 15-year time frame, he sourced and structured private equity investments for three distinct funds with total assets under management of about $3 billion. In 2013, he retired from the day-to-day at Parthenon and relocated to Florida. He became a managing partner of Mentor Capital Partners which provides business consulting and invests from offices in Boston, Chicago and Palm Beach.
In 2016, Mr. Jacquet resigned from MCP and founded Florida based Freedom Capital Partners to focus on investing his Family Office funds with other Family Offices. He now balances those responsibilities with service as chairman of International Package Shipping, ATOMIC Creamery, America Clean Energy Partners, and AMERICA UNITED: In Support of Our Troops-a not-for-profit.
