A few words: husband, believer, friend, diabetic, exercise enthusiast-ish, home brewer, musician, developer.

I am all of these things on a daily basis.

I choose (meaning "she chooses and I accept thankfully") daily to be married to the most wonderful woman I could have ever had the dumb luck to stumble upon. I say it that way because I don't deserve her and I typically stumble into things regularly. We have no children, 3 cats and enjoy the life of a DINC couple. We never get tired of being asked when we will have our first kid though, so be sure to ask us soon.

I choose daily to believe in a God who is above the politics, rhetoric, hate and squabbles that this world offers.

I didn't always choose my friends, but I choose who I stick with and keep in my circle. I am clearly blessed in this department.

I did not choose to be a diabetic, but it is definitely part of who I am. I stay pretty close to the standards I should, but Reese's cups are awesome.

A few years ago, I weighed nearly 300 lbs and decided, after getting winded tying my shoes one Christmas, to lose weight. There is nothing fun about losing weight. I do not enjoy going to the gym, not eating everything I want and constantly having some muscle be sore. However, I do those things as much as possible and attempt to enjoy every minute of it. Of recent, I have made another attempt at becoming a runner. I have goals, but I'll keep those to myself.

I home brew beer. I am a beer enthusiast. I like to make the beer I drink and find brews I have never seen before. Yes, this clashes with the above paragraph, but I deal.

Since the age of 8 I have played an instrument. I started with piano and the old red song hymnal from church. I have since learned guitar, bass, some mandolin and recently, a little banjo. I play nothing truly well, but play anyway. Also, I cannot sing at all.

Lastly, I am a developer. I am skilled with Microsofts .NET stack utilizing C# currently, with a past in VB.Net. I am also a huge fan of, and user thereof, Javascript and, in particular, AngularJS. I love what I get to do daily.
