Erol User
Passionate about finding sustainable solutions to global problems, Erol User hails from Istanbul and holds a comprehensive education. Erol User sought to gain a wide range of expertise and completed majors in Finance and Economics at Istanbul University. Following graduation, Erol User obtained a Master of Business Administration at the prestigious Harvard Business School. After completing an intensive leadership seminar in Japan, Erol User obtained a Master of Science in Renewable Energy at Vienna University of Technology. A talented entrepreneur and a founding member of Citibank Credit Cards Turkey, Erol User also dedicates his energy to advocacy and is the recipient of numerous accolades. Passionate about connecting with the public to address environmental issues, Erol User delivers speeches on a number of concerns, with past presentations including “Analysis of the Increasing Energy Demands’ Effects on Alternative Energy Output in Turkey”; “Helping Nations to Graduate: Potential Efforts from Turkey” at the LDC-IV Conference, 2011; “Constructive Solutions to Greek Turkish Relations and Possibilities”; and “Media as a Bridge Between Religions and Cultures.” Erol User enjoys a multifaceted career and his work supports a number of humanitarian initiatives, including peace between Greece and Turkey, children’s rights, alternative energy, economic development, and cultural identity. In 1988, Erol User received The Outstanding Young Person Award for his contributions to world peace. Over the years, Erol User also received honors including Japan’s White Pigeon Peace Award and the Global Project Award. He also has been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). A prominent force in global diplomacy, Erol Users is actively involved with Worldwatch Institute, Kids Parliament, and The Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV). With two sons, Erol User enjoys scuba diving, golf, and literature in his free time.
