Teacher and Mother in British Columbia, Canada

Read my blog

I am an educator currently living in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. I have over 20 years of teaching experience and have taught all grades from K-12. I love working with kids and enjoy being a part of the Elementary Connected Classrooms project in School District #74

My professional interests range from the visual arts and arts-based methods to the ubiquitous use of technology in the field of education. Due to my Master's thesis and my maternal grandmother's heritage, I am also very passionate about Aboriginal education, and, in particular, Métis and Cree epistemologies.

Family is very important to me. I am a mother to two teenage boys who teach me everyday. I have four siblings, five nephews and I'm still with my high school sweetheart. My personal interests include reading, yoga, writing, gardening, photography, my two dogs and the outdoors.
