Mission Statement:
“I will be a leader within the creative economy, whose exposure to the best creative minds in the field will result in previously unthinkable, revolutionary transformations” – Shayla Esakov
The ball of energy and exuberance known as Shayla Esakov was born in a bathtub in Toronto, Ontario in 1999. Although her academic ambition initially got her a coveted position at the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey league Business School, she realized that the style of education was not for her. She craved a more open-minded approach to creative thinking and the business world and enrolled in the Creative Industries program at Ryerson which has managed to provide opportunities for up and coming leaders of today’s generation by incorporating forward-thinking in a stimulating environment.
As a prospective entrepreneur, Shayla has seized opportunities to job shadow various successful individuals to experience the career world first hand. This initiative will allow her to make an informed decision about her future career choices. Naturally, Shayla is a talented rhetorician with excellent interpersonal management skills who cut her teeth on coordinating regional events and fundraisers for some well-known Fortune 500 Company executives. Initially discovered at a local high school fashion show, the rising star was recognized by famous entrepreneur Evan Kosiner, who has been her boss and mentor ever since. Shayla has been working with Evan Kosiner’s company, Skate To Great / Les Patins De L’Espoir, a national charity serving underprivileged kids and at-risk youth across Canada. Shayla is consistently able to provide the charity with the freelance support they seek to make their company an operational success.
Off work, you can find her playing tennis with her family, camping in Killarney Provincial park, or eating. With an appetite for continuous learning, Shayla loves to spend additional time reading and is always happy to chat about different books people have enjoyed.
Finally, her lifelong mission is to perpetually contribute to her community and city, which has predisposed her to live a life that is as important as it is exciting.
