After more than a decade living in Latin America, Europe and Asia, I came to Canada in 2013 to begin a masters at the University of British Columbia.
I am currently a fellow with News21, a program of the Carnegie-Knight Initiative on the Future of Journalism Education.
My work has been published by the Washington Post,The Tyee, Megaphone Magazine,Huffington Post Canada and AlterNet, and by the Brazilian publications Revista Planetaand AsBoasNovas.com.
In November 2014 an article I co-authored on co-op housing in Vancouver won a Silver COPA (Canadian Online Publishing Award) under Best Interactive Story, in the Blue Category.
At UBC, I worked as a research assistant for the SMARTTLab, which is dedicated to understanding the interplay between social networks, the media and public discourse.
I received a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
