Crisis Management

I am a federal criminal case consultant who supports criminal defendants and their families in navigating the personal and professional challenges that arise from a criminal investigation and all subsequent proceedings. I assist individuals and their attorneys in understanding the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) rules and regulations, offering an insider's perspective on life inside BOP’s prisons and programs.

Federal charges are complex, emotionally charged, and relentless. If you or a loved one is caught in our justice system, I hope you see that you don’t have to face this alone. I understand that being a criminal defendant can be one of the lowest points in a person’s life. I want to be part of the team that helps you close this chapter and start a new one. There’s so much to look forward to on the other side.

With over twenty years of experience as an attorney, I use my education and knowledge to help clients plan for a "crash landing," giving them some control over an unfortunate situation. I aim to empower clients to lay a foundation for a brighter future by offering professional expertise, unique knowledge about how the BOP works, and empathy from my personal experience.

My interests include world travel, cycling, skiing, and rock climbing. I advocate for mental health treatment and other reforms within the Bureau of Prisons. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, with my wife and two daughters. As a family, we raise guide dogs for the blind and prepare them for advanced training.
