Esmeralda Barcena

Esmeralda Barcena is currently a senior at Biola University. She grew up in the West Covina/La Puente area and graduated from Nogales High School. She is the first in her family to attend college. She will be graduating in May 2015 with a Bachelor in Sociology. Through her studies she has strived to thrive through and beyond academia. She has been involved with extracurricular activities within Biola University and outside of Biola. Esmeralda Barcena is progressively seeking opportunities to expand and contribute her skills to the community around her. Esmeralda is an intern with Multi-Ethnic Programs and Development at Biola University. In her role as Even Co-Manager, she is cultivating her skills of collaboration, public speaking, analysis and inquiry, and the ability to engage with a diverse world.
