Hello! My name is Esmeralda Gonzalez and I am senior at the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley. I am a double major in Biology and Chemistry.

This is my third year at the university and I am planning on continuing on to my masters degree and hopefully my Ph.D one day.

I am second year returning mentor and I highly enjoy helping first year students find their way in their careers. Making sure that students know what they want to do for the rest of their lives is probably the biggest accomplishment one can feel.

My hobbies include on reading, photography, and hopefully one day traveling the world. My goals are to one day work in a research lab and find cures so that underprivileged families can access them at low costs, or no cost at all.
