Student and Volunteer in Troy, MI
Hi! My name is Esther and I'm a senior at Troy High. I play the cello in the orchestra and I spin a flag in the TCMB Colorguard. My hobbies include listening to music, traveling, and shopping for bucket hats. I like to express myself, whether it be through music, writing, video editing, photography, or art.
During the summer, you can find me eating lots of ice cream (although I am mildly lactose intolerant) and volunteering at my church. This past summer I went on a missions trip to Hopi, Arizona and I will never forget the love and joy I shared with the children there. I also jumped off a 30 ft cliff and ended up with a bruised butt from landing in the water.
My friends say that my resting face looks like Grumpy Cat, but I can assure you that I'm actually a very happy and passionate girl. My ambition allows me to accomplish many things, like academic achievements and volunteer service awards. I'm observant and notice details that most people don't catch, which also makes me empathetic, as I am able to understand people and situations better in this way. Lastly, serving and making others happy brings me immense joy, for I value my effect on people and the world.
