When I am a writer, I am also a painter. I am painting a picture with no outline, method, or planning- just an idea. I start with a clean sheet, and a simple idea. Then I would build my way up, first with simple colors, one layer at a time, and then begin to add different colors and strokes to spice up the work. I would do the same when I write. Usually when I write, I store in different types of ideas for my work, and then write out my piece from start to finish, without stopping, using those ideas. And soon I would start again and bit by bit add in exquisite vocabulary, figures of speech, plots, and many more. It may seem so dull at first, with no layout or direction. But when this painting builds up, it would change from a bland and vague layer of blob to a beautiful image. Just as a picture is worth a thousand words, a thousand words can paint a beautiful picture.
