When I was little I used to dream of owning my own island. It was complete with a resort, white sandy beaches, blue water and horses! And I loved the feeling of being outside and taking care of people!
Well fast forward and today I find myself helping and taking care of people. My career has had that thread from the years spent working in the hospitality industry to recruiting, to the senior and executive marketing and HR management roles I undertook in Canada and Asia.
Today I am a business owner - I operate a skincare clinic, Derma Bright Clinic,and a wellness centre, Holistica Wellness, in Vancouver, BC. I also operate an online store, My Skin Salon and I am a Wellness Educator. As the Queen of Living Clean, I speak, write and share ideas about wellbeing. I am passionate about this subject and love helping people achieve this in their lives! I work with a few high quality brands I believe in including Melaleuca, Bemer and Nikken. I have two workshops I run: Clean Up Your Lifeand How well is Your Being?.
To me, wellbeing has 7 parts: health, wealth, relationships, purpose, service, states/practices and leisure/fun! I believe these 7 parts are critical to having a complete, fulfilling and happy life.
I am passionately getting the message out via speaking and writing. I wrote a book in 2016 called Face Your Acne available on Amazon and Kindle. And in September 2017 I launched another book, a collaboration with 15 other women entitledWOW - Women of Worth - 15 Women Share Stories of Life & Leadership.
In August 2017 I decided to dip my toe into the political waters and ran as a School Board Trustee candidate in Vancouver representing the Vancouver Green Party. I won a seat on the Board and was re-elected in October 2018 for a 4-year term!
I am available for speaking opportunities including corporate wellness and workshops, on the importance of detoxing, wellness and wellbeing, both in the workplace and in your life!
