My doctoral research progresses from an earlier seminal discourse on film music practice in the Nigerian Film industry (Nollywood). In summary, this study offers a robust and compelling theoretical framework for understanding how identity is articulated in Nollywood soundtracks.
Emaeyak holds an MA in Film Music studies from City University London, and both an MA and BA (cum laude) in Music Theory from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is also an academic staff of the Department of Music, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
