Over the course of the last eight years, Ethan Cohan has served a variety of television networks as a producer on a number of renowned shows. He has served as Field Producer on Family Face-Off: Hollywood; Field Coordinator, Field Production Manager and Segment Producer for Fear Factor; and Production Supervisor and Executive in Charge of Production for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Project Runway, respectively. In addition, Mr. Cohan has served as Line Producer for The Bad Girls Club, Laugh Off, America’s Psychic Challenge, and The Simple Life.
Additionally, Ethan Cohan served as Supervising Producer for the shows Living Lohan, Drafted, Welcome to the Big League, and The Bad Girls Club Season 2. As Executive in Charge of Production, Mr. Cohan has contributed his expertise to a number of popular shows, including Project Runway, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The Spin Crowd, and The Real World.
Before entering the field of entertainment, Ethan Cohan served a seven-year tenure as a Los Angeles police officer, after which he returned to school to pursue a law degree. After earning his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law, he was admitted to the state Bars of New Jersey and New York. During law school, Mr. Cohan held a position with Thirteen/WNET Television in New York in the Business and Legal Affairs division, where he reviewed contracts for issues related to copyright, rights and clearances, license, and trademark. After graduating law school, Ethan Cohan’s next endeavor in the field of law took him to the firm of Jaffe & Asher LLP, where he worked pending admission to the Bar and served with a team of attorneys who represented American Express in its high-profile collections litigation. While attending law school, Mr. Cohan was a law clerk with the New York Country District Attorney’s Office and assisted in a variety of trial bureaus, drafting motions and complaints for felonies and misdemeanors. In addition, he served as a Summer Associate at the firm of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP, where he assisted corporate and entertainment clients with issues relating to immigration.
Pursuing his undergraduate studies, Ethan Cohan attended the University of Southern California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Broadcast Journalism, both of which have served him well in all of his professional pursuits.
