Hockey Player and Student in Canada

Work out with me

I'm a 15 year old high school student living in Canada. I have one brother, a dog, and two loving parents. We take happiness in our humble routines of the week leading to the weekend where I past time with my friends and family. My personal interests are Hockey, Video Games, working out, and being with my friends.

I've had many significant life events, that have almost all led to incredible personal achievements I take pride in. For example, the biggest life event I can remember was my parents divorce when I was 12 years old. It was shocking, terrifying, and emotional for the whole family, especially my brother and I. From this, however I've learned how to handle sorrow, and look at the bright side of situations. As well during this time I was scouted to play for the top tiered team in the West.

Another large life event was when I was cut from my quadrant Hockey team when I was 13, this crushed me. I felt useless, and even worse, I quit playing Hockey and decided to pursue other hobbies. However, it led to me getting fatter, thus my era of self consciousness began. I would never (and still never) wear shorts because of my cankles (fat calves that stretch to the ankle rather than curving inwards). That year was one of the worst I had ever experienced and taught valuable lessons about self doubt, and perseverance. Over that summer I joined my brother's gym program (the youngest there) and worked the hardest I had in my life for 3 months until tryouts in September. I ended up making AAA (top team) after not playing Hockey the previous year, abolishing my self consciousness with my new physique and learned I could do anything I put my mind to.

My emerging worldview at my young age is equality, but it seems it can only exist in a perfect world. My current goals are to play in the AJHL, finish school with an above 85 average, and continue to build friendships with my peers. Future plan is to find a job that I love, so I can work tirelessly and still have more fun than ever.
