Eugene (Gene) Fraser is a lifelong entrepreneur with a passion for all size and type of businesses. He has been a board member of a several private and public corporations and has been involved in real estate and private equity purchase and sale transactions of more than $1.2 billion dollars.

A former executive of the Pension Fund Industry having worked with the Canadian Commercial Workers Industry Pension Plan from 2000-2016. As President of the CCWIPP’S Investment and Administration Management firm his role required that he implement a strategy to internalize the management, administration and a controlled divestiture of the Fund’s significant portfolio of trustee directed investment and real estate corporation portfolio, which included underperforming and distressed assets.

He has managed a broad range of asset classes including: mortgages and debentures, private equity and multi tenanted commercial and industrial real estate and development lands. Additionally, he directed all investment matters relating to: audit, governance, third-party contract negotiations, purchase and sale agreements, mortgagee-in-possession, and commercial and regulatory litigation proceedings.

As of the end of 2016 he had successfully managed the strategic divesture and wind up of the investment and real estate corporation portfolio under his tenure. All investment capital generated from the transactions were returned to the Fund.
