I am a passionate policy, communications and advocacy professional. Most recently, I was a Senior Associate at Global Health Strategies in New York working on behalf of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the ExxonMobil Foundation on their communications and advocacy efforts across vaccines, neglected tropical diseases and malaria programs in Africa and South Asia.
Prior to this, I lived in London from 2010-2015 working at two communications agencies and interning at the British Parliament for a Labour MP.
Back in the United States, I served as a White House Summer 2010 Intern for President Barack Obama at the Office of Presidential Correspondence. My role was processing and responding to the President's mail received from across the country on a variety of issues. I have also interned at the Parliament of Ireland in Dublin, the National Stonewall Democrats and served as a New Leaders Fellow with the Center for Progressive Leadership in Washington DC, a grassroots political and communications training program for young progressives.
My travels have taken me across 5 continents and nearly 45 countries including volunteer work in Ecuador, Peru and Ghana. Most recently, I volunteered on Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign including canvassing door-to-door in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.
I have a BA in Government and Religious Studies from the University of Virginia and an MSc in Urbanization and Development from the London School of Economics.
Born in Moscow, Russia, I grew up in a Russian Jewish immigrant enclave in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to English, I speak fluent Russian and conversational Spanish.
