Eugene Brown served as a production assistant for several White House events upon working as a Production Assistant for the Presidential Inauguration Committee. Eugene also worked in the office of the Chief of Staff for the Democratic National Convention as well as serving as a Field Organizer in Florida for President Obama's reelection campaign. A graduate of Livingstone College in North Carolina, he served in several student leadership roles including student government, NAACP, and the Ralph Bunche Society. Eugene also founded the school's first media group, which acquired first right of refusal at all school events teaching students how to work soundboards, large venue lighting, recording studio equipment, photography, cinematic camera equipment, and DJing. During the spring semester of Eugene’s freshman year, he served as a congressional summer intern for the Committee on Homeland Security where Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) was Chairman. There, Eugene developed a love for politics, interning in several different congressional offices before graduating college in 2012, including the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) where he worked in the office of Congressman Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO). While working at the CBC, Eugene developed and produced a luncheon and panel discussion for HBCU student government presidents and majority colleges' Black Student Union presidents came to the hill in order to engage Members of Congress and staffers about voter engagement, organizing around policy issues impacting communities of color, and access to Capitol Hill for the disenfranchised.
