Sheri Quek
18 years old. Lover of laces and roses.
I indulge heavily in the field of visual arts, especially in the fine arts, decorative arts and graphic design branches. Also a great lover of the Humanities field.
My inspirations come from prose and poetry - the likes of Sylvia Plath, Edgar Allan Poe and Alexander Pope. I enjoy experimenting with softer, more feminine patterns and styles, might have a mildly intense (oxymoron!) dislike for sharp edges. Also am constantly immersing myself in the works from the Golden Age of Hollywood.
I adore Frida Kahlo, Jasper Joffe, Picasso (big fan of his early works, don't really fancy his cubist works) and Gerhard Richter. My respect and adoration for Gerhard Richter cannot be adequately expressed into words, for I might eventually become too pompous in praise, but never superfluous.
Ardent fan of trip-hop - Massive Attack, Portishead, Inouwee. Also of Corinne Bailey Rae, Lana Del Rey, John Mayer, Jackie Paris, Johnny Cash, Marvin Gaye.
More of my works are available on Flickr.
*The pseudonym that I always use "Eulaelie" comes from the the title of an Edgar Allan Poe poem called "Eulalie" - one of favourite poem of his.
