Eunice Brandão de Oliveira

I am an English to Portuguese translator currently living in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, Brasil. My specializations are Finance, Information Technology (IT), eCommerce, Travel & Tourism.

I graduated from UFES (Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo) in April 1992 in Languages & Literature with major in English and minor in Spanish. I taught English at Escola Técnica Federal (public school) and CCAA (private school) in Vitória, ES.

I moved to the U.S. in 1992 where I lived up to December 2009. In the U.S. I taught Portuguese to English speakers. I developed a customized curriculum to teach Portuguese to Spanish native speakers and those who spoke limited English.

I worked for American Express company for 12 years where I held various finance and technology-related jobs. There I worked on several occasions as Spanish and Portuguese translator and interpreter since we did business with all Latin American countries. I created the first departmental newsletter in English and translated it to Portuguese and Spanish.

I have recently worked on various translation projects related to e-commerce for one of the biggest Chinese e-commerce companies.
