I am an Industrial Biotechnology senior student at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and I am interested in pursuing a DVM-PhD with a focus in genetics. I am currently researching the Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein 2 gene with the intention of identifying a molecular marker for predisposition to cancer. This summer, as part of the Summer Research Opportunities Program at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I am researching Myxoma virus and its role as an oncolytic agent.
