Eva Maria
Narragansett, Rhode Island
Eva Maria is the youngest of three. She was raised alongside her brothers in Queens, New York. Her father was a factory worker and her mother a school teacher. She was of an average middle class family striving for a better future.
At early retirement, her father moved the family to the outskirts of Orlando, Florida where Eva attended highschool. Graduating in 2004, she immediately enrolled herself into Valencia Community College as a Psychology major. Within two years, she successfully earned her Associate in Arts & Science Degree. At the time, her family had moved back north to the state of Rhode Island.
After a few independant moves of her own, she finally settled in Rhode Island in 2009. There, she continued her undergrad studies at Rhode Island College. While working a full time job, she completed her Bachelor of Arts & Science Degree in Psychology and graduated in 2012.
Eva is an experienced mental health worker, having worked for several years with children and adults of intellecutal and behavioral disorders.
Having been raised Christian, Eva proudly counts all her gains as loss, knowing and recognizing that without The Lord Savior, she is worth nothing.
Eva humbly serves at her local church as a singer and worship leader. While writing a song for the worship team's ministry, she said, "We were created for worship. This is our reason for existence! We were born for this! Nothing beats that moment when you find yourself soaking in God's Holy presence. I live for those moments!"
As Eva continues her walk of faith, she joyfully delights herself in the journey. Though her dream is to travel the world and serving in missions, shes taking it in, one step at a time.
"He knows the thoughts and plans He has for me. I can't rush into things when I know He is in control. I wait. As I wait, I worship, I work, I dream, I serve and most importantly, I live!" -Eva Maria
