Evan Grist

I'm Evan Grist. I'm an Electrical Engineer by education (says San Diego State University in 2007), and a business owner by choice. I have a wide variety of experience, working as a staff Electrical Engineer at Accel-RF Corporation on Semiconductor life-expectancy turnkey test systems from 2006-2009. From April 2009-April 2010 I was manager and lead engineer of the Research & Development Department of Electrosport Industries in Oceanside, CA. In this position I was in charge of full-cycle design, development, and production of high-performance motorcycle charging systems.

I am currently co-founder of Redline Designworks, a small web design, social media & SEO firm with my twin brother Ian, since 2005.

I also own and operate Baja Customs Off-Road, LLC, with my partner Matthew Fiore. We CAD design, manufacture, and sell long travel suspension kit's and off-road truck accessories. I became involved with prerunner trucks and the off-road industry in 2005 after founding DezertDimes.com a 1500+ member forum & tech/news outlet for building Chevy S10/GMC Sonoma trucks as a legitimate, high-performance prerunner platform.

I spend the majority of my workday as Vice President of Dust Collection Products, a San Diego manufacturer of dust collection accessories for angle/die grinders, and skil/gas/electric saws.

For fun, I play guitar & sing backup vocals for Dying to Wake, a San Diego rock band. We have a 4-song EP finished in 2009, with multiple tracks receiving radio play on local rock stations. I also enjoy riding motorcycles (currently a 1974 BMW R90/6 on the street, and a 2006 Suzuki RM-Z450 in the dirt).
