Evan Parks
Public Speaker and Life Coach in Grand Rapids, Michigan
My name is Evan Parks, and I am a life coach, public speaker, and a clinical psychologist working in pain rehabilitation. I am committed to helping people move toward well-being away from physical and emotional problems that get in the way of a rich and rewarding life.
The art and science of well-being is my passion. Through my work as a psychologist in a rehabilitation hospital and a life coach, I have the privilege of seeing the changes that occur in people’s lives who have been trapped by chronic pain, past trauma, and stress as they move toward well-being, meaning, engagement, and purpose. Modern neuroscience shows us how to rewire our brains and turn off the brain circuitry that keeps stuck in a wrestling match with problem sensations, emotions, thoughts, and memories.
From 2001 to 2016, I traveled throughout Europe, Eurasia, and the Middle East responding to crisis situations. The focus of my work was helping NGOs and Christian service organizations during times of crisis. I also served as an adjunct professor for six years at the graduate school of Liberty University, teaching in the School of Behavioral Sciences. I am now located in Grand Rapids, Michigan where when I am not speaking, coaching, or working in pain rehabilitation, I play light jazz and French café music.
