Evan Ragnar Benson

Evan Ragnar Benson is a hospitality industry professional based in his hometown of San Rafael, California. He serves as the Sales Manager for the Sheraton Sonoma County hotel in Petaluma, a position he assumed in 2011 after several years as a pharmaceutical sales representative. The Sheraton Sonoma County is the largest business hotel in North San Francisco Bay, with numerous corporate clients using the hotel on a recurring basis. In his daily activities, Mr. Benson meets the lodging needs of these travelers, ensuring their overall satisfaction with the Sheraton and encouraging repeated visits.

In addition to tending to the needs of the many business accounts, Evan Ragnar Benson is responsible for the overall property's occupancy rate. He sets the room rate and liaises with outside partners, such as website operators and travel agents, to drive traffic to the property. For his successful efforts, Mr. Benson was inducted into the Starwood Hotels and Resorts 100 Percent Club.

Evan Ragnar Benson actively participates in the region's business community by maintaining memberships with the Sonoma Young Professionals and the Sonoma County Hospitality Professionals. Apart from belonging to these networking organizations, Mr. Benson contributes to the local Boys and Girls Club and the Junior League of Napa-Sonoma. Additionally, attends services at the Lutheran Church and participates in charitable activities organized by the church.

As a native of San Rafael, Evan Ragnar Benson follows Bay Area sports teams. At present, Mr. Benson enjoys the resurgence of the San Francisco 49ers under their second-year head coach Jim Harbaugh and rooting for the Giants to continue their recent success. As a Golden State Warrior fan, he hopes the new ownership regime can bring new life to the franchise.
