Mr. Evans Okech Ochieng is a social researcher with over 10 years in conducting research works for both international and local organizations.

He understands business development, proposal writing, field work data collection and supervision, literature review, data management, monitoring and evaluations, project management and report writing.

He has undertaken assignments in the fields of democratic governance, elections, gender mainstreaming, peacebuilding, livelihoods, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and environmental and social impact assessments.

He was the proposal writer and field supervisor for the External Endline Evaluation For ‘Integrated WASH For Underdeveloped Schools’ In Kilifi County, November 2023;Research Supervisor for the Baseline survey of the South Sudan Livelihood Resilience Project (SSLRP), September 2023;Qualitative Analyst for theMid-term review of Uraia Trust Strategic Framework 2021 – 2025, July – November 2023;Report writer for theAudience analysis for US Embassy, Nairobi Kenya, July 2023 and Mapping Women in Business and financial institution in Kilifi County, for FIDA-Kenya, May 2023.

Evans was also the lead researcher and governance analyst for the Gender and Political Research by The Oslo Center, September 2022, and the community mobiliser and data collection supervisor in the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of the Proposed Production Well E3 for OrPower4 Olkaria III Geothermal Power Project, August – September 2022.

Other projects he has undertaken include: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Kenya): Baseline Survey for the Strengthening Electoral Processes in Kenya (SEPK) and End Term Evaluation for Deepening Foundation for PeaceBuilding and Community Security (PBCS) Programme (2014 – 2018).

Mercy Corps Kenya’s End Endline Survey for Kenya Election Violence Prevention and Response Program (KEVP).

UNICEF’s Consultancy to conduct budget analysis in social sectors in Kenya’s 10 counties and the ConsultancyServices to Support National and County Level Nutrition Resource Allocations, Budget Analysis and Expenditure Tracking in 6 counties

He was also engaged in data management for the KfW Bank’s Maternal Health project and other.
